For its second participation to Material Art Fair, Sans titre (2016) is presenting a duo presentation of the works of two young artists depicting their radical visions of modern society. Maximilian Kirmse (Berlin, 1986-) is inspired by the everyday life of his neighborhood of Schoenberg, in Berlin. He offers a poetic vision of a sweet and sour reality where violence and creativity cohabit, in a place where the daily life is marked by encounters with other artists, drugs consumers, and the melting pot of its inhabitants. On the contrary, Ieva Kraule (Riga, 1987-) projects herself in a more fluctuant temporarily and sees the world through the utopia and dystopias that she creates. Her main interests encompasses artificial intelligence, eugenic, ruins of modernity etc. We will present a new body of works inspired by traditional Latvian folklore and its projection in a fantasised future.
